Determines and implements the mental health policy within the organizational and therapeutic structure throughout the entire service chain (rehabilitation, hospitalization, ambulatory, addictions and emergency), defines procedures, sets standards and metrics for the mental health activity, planning, development, coordination, control, licensing and quality assurance of the treatment and service.
Maintains interministerial and interorganizational coordination and cooperation on all matters concerning the treatment of mental patients and high-risk populations, guides and coordinates the activity of the regional and district psychiatrists, and of the regional psychiatric committees, in accordance with the ministry’s policies. Purchases mental health services (rehabilitation, hospitalization, ambulatory, addictions and emergency).
