The only body in Israel handling organ donations and transplants.
The center operates in four streams:
- Acquisition of organs from deceased persons, which includes coordination of transplant surgery and support for the donor families at the hospitals and after the donation.
- Patient registration and allocation.
- Programs for donations from live donors, including compensating the donors.
- A publicity stream to increase public awareness and to promote sign-up to the ADI donor card program. The center also manages and operates the ADI signatories repository.
