Goals
To frame and promote policies in the field of new and existing health technologies in order to ensure advanced, safe and effective health services for the citizens of Israel. DMTP is aimed to be resource of knowledge in the field of Health Technology Assessment. These assessments serve as platform for health policy decisions for health care professionals as well as citizens of Israel, while providing quality, professional and efficient service.
Roles
- Evaluation and assessment of health technologies for regulation and management of health policies and services given in hospitals and community care.
- Examination, implementation and monitoring of health technologies to ensure safe, effective and intelligent use of health technologies in the Israeli health system.
- Health Technology Assessment (HTA) of medical technologies as basis for decision making as part of discussions on public funding as available with current resources.
- Forecast and prediction of new and emerging medical technologies.
- Promotion of research in the field of medical technologies, health system implementation and patterns of use.
- Establishment, management and update of the medical technologies database for the Israeli public
- Provide optimal professional response for individual and organizational inquiries within the health system and interaction with similar organizations abroad.
- Organize and Participate in committees and consensus conferences addressing current health policies issues and dilemmas.
