Chief Scientist

Forms the medical research and development policy. Administers and operates a research grant disbursement system for medical sciences, basic clinical medicine and para-medical disciplines, plus training stipends: operation of a research fund in support of medical and bio-medical research by doctors and researchers at hospitals, universities and research facilities.

The Chief Scientist engages in academic activities for collaboration with research and development organizations in Israel and abroad, with the medical board of the Israel Medical Association and medical attaches in Israeli embassies abroad.
