Background
The Division of Governmental Medical Centers was established by government resolution no. 337 of August 2015.

The division founding mission
Creating a leading division for all the government medical centers that will generate empowerment and added value, and will promote them as robust and excellent organizations, with cooperation and transparency.

This through:
  • Concentrating all areas of activity
  • Viewing the patient at the center
  • Promoting medical professionalism, academia and research
  • Economic robustness
  • Bolstering the human capital
  • Innovation and creativity
  • Cinergy and mutual learning

The division goals 
  • Separating the Ministry of Health’s regulatory duties from the duties involving management and supervision of the medical centers - the general government centers, the mental health centers and the geriatric centers.
  • Enabling the existence of a central management organization for the government hospitalization array, which operates with an holistic and lateral perspective of the hospitals’ needs, this through: promoting common subjects, solving problems, removing barriers and taking optimal advantage of common resources for boosting the government hospitalization array and providing the best medical care.
  • Supervising and controlling the ties of the government hospitalization centers with similar organizations, including healthcare corporations, circles of friends, etc.

The division operates as part of the Ministry of Health, and is directly subordinate to the Health ministry’s Director General. The division coordinates all the managerial duties and authorizations and provides optimal and comprehensive attention to the government hospitalization centers.

The division tasks
  • A managerial body for the government hospitalization centers;
  • Supervising and controlling  the government hospitalization centers’ activity;
  • Outlining the general policy for the government hospitalization centers;
  • Setting up operational programs for advancing the government hospitalization centers;
  • Mapping the government hospitalization centers’ existing processes, detecting failures and correcting them;
  • Supervising and controlling the government hospitalization centers ties with organizations working parallel to them.

From time to time the Division of Government hospitalization centers publishes manpower tenders on the Ministry of Health site (public tenders only) and on the Civil Service Commission site (all the tenders)
