Warning Against Using the Following Products: Diabetico and Balins

The Ministry of Health warns the public against purchasing or use of the products: Diabetico and Balins.

These products, which have been marketed as “natural” products and were intended for diabetics to reduce blood sugar levels, were intercepted by the Ministry of Health’s pharmaceutical crime fighting unit and were tested at the Ministry of Health laboratories in Tel Hashomer. The findings show that the products contain the active ingredient Glibornuride.

This substance belongs to the Sulfonylurea family and its use may induce hypoglycemia (drastic reduction in sugar levels) and may, as such, be harmful to public health.
