Government Licensing Examination in Dentistry

Stage A: 
An application to register for the exam should be submitted up to 30 days prior to the date of the exam (the counting of days includes holidays, Fridays and Saturdays).
The determining date is the one in which the documents were received at the Medical Professions Licensing Department, regardless of the date the documents were sent by mail.
For your convenience, the application documents may be submitted in a designated post at the entrance to the Ministry of Health building, 39 Yermiyahu St., Jerusalem.
Applications submitted after the determining date will be checked towards the date of the following exam.

Stage B: 
The manual (practical part) of the examination is held about a month after the theoretical examination date. Persons entitled to take stage B of the examination will be sent a separate message.

Government licensing examination dates


Stage A
  • February 20, 2017
    • Viewing and inspection of examination March 21, 2017 - Binyanei HaUmah, Jerusalem
  • September 04, 2017
    • Viewing and inspection of examination September 26, 2017 - Binyanei HaUmah, Jerusalem

The exams will take place at the Convention Center – Binyanei HaUmah, Jerusalem (across from the central bus station).



Stage B
  • April 03-05, 2017 - The exams will take place at Tel Aviv University
    • Viewing and inspection of examination June 06, 2017
  • October 16-19, 2017 - The exams will take place at Hadassah Ein Karem, Jerusalem
    • Viewing and inspection of examination November 28, 2017


You cannot take the exam without having a file at the Medical Professions Licensing Department and without receiving an approval to take the exam.


In general, government exams in the various medical professions take place twice a year. In case that, due to some constraints, there is a change in any of the exams date, the new date will be announced at this site.


The registration approval for the exam, the exam procedures and additional details regarding the exam and its exact location will be mailed to those eligible to take the exam.
