The Ministry of Health is working to improve the state of the health of Israel’s citizens and considers Israeli students who are studying abroad - our future doctors - to be partners in this mission upon the completion of their training and integration into the health system in Israel.
The Ministry of Health is planning facilities for training and internship in Israel for all medical students, in Israel and abroad. To improve and streamline the process, medical students abroad are requested, regardless of what year they are in, to register on the Ministry of Health’s website.
Thorough planning of the training locations in Israel will make your integration into the health system in Israel easier.
It is important to emphasize that the Ministry of Health will be acting in a number of spheres to improve your contacts with Israel and to assist in your integration into the health system in Israel upon completion of your training:
- The Ministry of Health will arrange clinical clerkships for sixth-year students abroad - in Israeli hospitals, while setting tuition caps (all of this is subject to the recognition of the foreign university of the clinical clerkship in Israel).
- During the clinical clerkship, courses will also be offered as a preparation for the licensing examinations in Israel, which take place at the end of the medical studies.
- The Ministry of Health pays for the internship, following which you will be able to work as doctors in Israel.
Registration for these training courses is individual, depending on the stage of your studies, and according to the guidelines published on the Ministry of Health’s website.
